COVID-19 has collapsed education system due to lockdown and sudden closure of the educational institutions in Pakistan and across the globe. This study addresses online education challenges in the lockdown period and provides measures to effectively convert present resources available to university students from formal to online education through virtual classes. Therefore, this study examines students' perception of Pakistan's district Sahiwal towards the required digital and online university legal education during COVID-19. Postgraduate and undergraduate university law students were surveyed to find their perceptions about online legal education in the country. This research concludes that in underdeveloped countries such as Pakistan, online education could yield desired results despite limited resources. Some concerns highlighted by the students were a lack of face-to-face interactions with teachers, multimedia educational resources and tools, and the absence of conventional classroom socialization.
